Today, the South End Green Association organised the annual South End Green Festival to celebrate its 50th birthday. This is an phenomenal milestone, marked by an great event that draws many thousands of people from across our community and further afield.
I spent the day manning the Conservative stall: the first time that the party has had a table there in recent years.
Huge numbers of residents came over and spoke to us about issues in the area. It provided a fantastic opportunity to engage with residents over the work we’ve done as councillors.
We will be holding more street stalls and councillors’ surgeries at South End Green in the near future.
Thank you to the South End Green Association for holding the event once again. Thanks also to Cllr Leila Roy, her son Anton, Calvin Robinson, and Hamish Hunter for joining me at the stand today, and to Bonita Lee for baking cakes for us to sell.
